Payment to Freelance Instructors
Freelance instructors are paid separately from any series of packages purchased through the Pilates Center of Maine. Please make checks payable to the instructor, or provide them with your credit card information.
Pilates is a whole body workout covering strength, cardio, balance, and flexibility. Improving these areas leads to a strong core, a strong heart and improved balance - all of which can help prevent injuries as one ages.
The essence of Pilates - a strong core - is integral to dance training. Alignment of the spine and pelvic areas and a full range of motion enables fluid and controlled movement during Pilates exercises which are essential principles of dance.
Private Sessions are a great way for students to introduce themselves to Pilates. Working on-on-one with an instructor, students have the opportunity to understand the methods and purpose for each exercise.
